MADE FOR YOUR NEXT ADVENTURE

Rylan’s Fishing

A playable, iPhone-ready 3D ocean fishing game for anglers and explorers.

A real game, one cast at a time.

Cast, watch for a bite, strike, and hold to reel. Release to reduce tension. Sell catches for game coins, unlock five standard rods in order, reinforce your line, and purchase boats to reach deeper waters.

Discover 18 fish species and track counts and personal weight records. Heavy fish need a stronger rod; the Radioactive Rod handles even the largest standard fish.

Accounts & multiplayer

Google or email-link sign-in enables private cloud saves in the built-in key-value store. Guests are saved only on their current device. Community scoreboards and private 1v1 challenges use real cloud records, but client-reported scores are not cheat-proof.

A relational database is a Pro feature. Upgrade to Pro for a managed database, or connect your own Supabase project for free from the Database panel. Authoritative score verification and live matchmaking need a multiplayer service.

iPhone build preparation

The project includes Capacitor configuration, iOS dependencies, an app icon design, a native-only launch screen, a working game menu, touch-safe controls, and safe-area-aware navigation. Native launch-screen configuration and the complete submission checklist are in IOS_PREPARATION.md.

npm install
npm run build
npm run ios:add
npm run ios:sync
npm run ios:open

This app has not been submitted to or approved by Apple. iOS compilation and signing require macOS, Xcode, and an Apple developer account for distribution.

Graphics & platform limits

The ocean is rendered in real 3D with animated reflective water, physical sky, daylight and sunset, a dock, a boat, fishing equipment, swimming fish, and an underwater camera. Models are procedural, not scanned photorealistic assets.

Console-level ultra-realism requires authored high-detail fish and boat assets, mobile GPU optimization, and potentially Unity or Unreal. This version is a browser-based 3D game packaged for iPhone, not a native engine build.

Owner access & security

The owner panel checks authenticated platform ownership server-side before validating the requested password. Player-role grants and bans use platform account management. Staff username accounts require a paid GenMB plan. The owner password is not included in frontend code.

Server owner actions require the function runtime’s authenticated KV context binding. Competitive game mutations are still client-reported; do not use this version for cash prizes or ranked anti-cheat play.

Questions from the dock

How do I earn coins?

Catch fish and sell your keepnet. Your Fish Index records stay even after selling. Coins are game currency only; there are no real-money purchases.

Why did a fish get away?

You may have missed the strike window, exceeded 100% line tension, or hooked a fish heavier than your rod can manage. Ease off the reel and upgrade your gear.

Can I fish without a boat?

Yes. Stillwater Dock is always free. Purchase boats only when you are ready to reach rarer offshore species.

Are these real ocean conditions?

No. Weather, fish distribution, and rewards are game mechanics, not live environmental data or real wildlife sale prices.

Is the app already on the App Store?

No. The iOS project is prepared for local packaging. Native testing, signing, privacy documentation, and Apple review are still required.
